Quick start
This walkthrough takes you from a freshly installed extension to a distributed invoice. Run it in a sandbox company first.
1. Complete the setup
Section titled “1. Complete the setup”Make sure the installation is done and the setup is complete: the access point credentials are entered under EHF API on the XAGO Setup page, and the customer you will invoice has E-Invoice switched on and Document Sending Profile set to XINV.
2. Create and post an invoice
Section titled “2. Create and post an invoice”Create a sales invoice the way you always do — Xago Invoice uses standard Business Central to produce the PEPPOL 3 (EHF) document, so nothing about invoice entry changes.
When you post, you have two options:
- Post and send — the invoice is sent to the access point immediately.
- Post — the invoice is posted only; the job queue picks it up and sends it. See Sending invoices.
3. Follow the distribution
Section titled “3. Follow the distribution”The access point delivers the invoice — PEPPOL 3 if the recipient is registered in ELMA, PDF by email if not. Open the Posted Sales Invoices list and watch the Status column: it starts at Pending, moves to Sent to access point once handed over, and ends at Delivered for a PEPPOL recipient or Processed for email and other channels. Choose Print/Send → Update Status to refresh it right away instead of waiting for the job queue. See Distribution status for the full picture, including what to do if the status is Failed.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Read about the delivery methods available for your recipients, including the B2C channels.
- Set up the job queue for unattended sending.
